This scene is where they escape from America and sail off on Steve’s boat. This ending goes against generic horror convention, as one of the final men is black and one of the final girls is blonde, this is not often seen in horror movies as strong white men are final men and dark hair women are final girls. This scene suggests an open ending to the movie as you don’t know what is going to happen afterwards, this leaves room for a sequel later on.
