The poster on the right is my poster for Francesca where as the one on the left is for the film The Vow. Both of these poster have similar convention, one thing they both have in common is their colour scheme. They both have a red, black and white colour scheme, these colours are very popular in horror posters and magazine this is because black represents the bad, red represents blood and white represents innocents. They are also used because of the way they contrast against each other which makes everything stand out. The lay out of these posters are also similar, the main character of the films are central on the poster this is usually done so it draws people in via the actor or actress. On both of these posters the tag line gives away a small amount of the story, this is done so that people get intigued and want to find out what happens in the rest of the film.
